WORK (work work work work)

WORK (work work work work)

It wouldn’t be a normal day if that Rihanna song didn’t play unsolicited in my head at least once. At least now I can make it my theme as I get dressed to go to work…hello summer job!

I’d like to share some of my favorite looks with you, since many of them include at least one item that was thrifted or given to me by a friend or family member that didn’t have use for it anymore. I love finding new purpose for a quirky item, and some might be surprised how two items could go so well together given a new perspective! So next time you’re at the thrift store and you instantly lay eyes on that unusual retro blazer, go with your gut! See it as a challenge, it might just become your new favorite jacket 😉

It can be hard to dress for work during the summer, as it’s very hot here right now but it gets cold in the store I work at so I have to make sure I’m dressed for both! Thankfully I can have freedom to incorporate my own sense of style otherwise. I included links to similar items for everything and tried to find dupes that were very affordable, keeping in mind that if you’re like me you love a good deal!!

  • Tramp slit back shirred white blouse [from Marshall’s 6+ years ago]

This simple shirt has seen a lot of wear, and is unfortunately missing a button on the collar. It’s one of my favorite shirts to dress up or down so I plan on repairing it and wearing it for a at least a little longer!

  • Hand-me-down Lucy & Co. high waisted pants

These are a new addition to my closet, my neighbor on the hall last year was giving away several items that she wasn’t wearing anymore and I was lucky enough to snag these beautiful pants! They are so comfy and go with tons of summer stuff

  • thrifted Felipé Brazilian loafers

I found these at a thrift store in MS. They looked brand new, no wear at all! I hardly ever find shoes in a 5.5, especially flats, so I picked them up for probably around $6.99. Only recently have I started to appreciate them. They are very comfortable for flats, fit just right and are still quite feminine. They are handmade from Brazil and I compare all my new flats to these bad boys!

  • H&M white crystal studs

Another new item I have been wearing with literally everything are these h&m studs. The pack of 3 I got had two other smaller pairs in a light pink and onyx purple color and the price was too good to pass up. I couldn’t find them online but the link I included is very similar.

I love sharing style ideas, and I’d love to know your favorite brand name dupes as well!! Make sure to leave me a comment and let me know if these outfit posts are something you would like to see more of! Don’t forget to like this post and follow if you haven’t already!

Thank you so much!! And I love the earrings h&m has right now, studs are one thing I like to get in bulk since they tend to get lost 🙄 lol
